When it comes to first impressions, Vocalist Bri Celestin definitely has one of the very best. As she floats across the Kerby Young creative studio, into the make-up chair, she fills the TVISUAL set with a welcoming smile and warmth. Though petit in size, her presence is massive but hardly compares to her voice. She ingeniously infuses her warm rich vocal tones with a determination that lends authenticity to subject matter, transporting her listeners to different eras, emotions and atmospheres. Truly a master at her gift but grounded enough to be coy, haha.
Bri credits
"finding her voice" to vocal coach Leontine Hass (Associated Studios,
London).
"Leo pushed me to find a voice that I never dreamed existed, a complex voice, that holds many stories and tells many tales...my voice.”
Apart from raw talent, she pursued training at the Royal
Academy of Music (London) and an alumna of the Goldsmith Vocal Ensemble. No
stranger to the stage and mesmerizing her onlookers, Bri has performed at the
Queen Elizabeth Hall – South Bank Centre (London), Poetry Motion, St. Paul’s
Church (The Actor’s Church) and Troy Bar in London among many others.

Upon her return to Trinidad, Bri continued to be trailblazer
in the vocal and theatrical industries. In 2016 she made her local debut as part
of the cast of both Mahalia and Jesus Christ Super Star, as part of the ensemble
and depicting Mary, mother of Jesus, respectively, both JCS Productions put on
at Queen's Hall. She was also a special guest performer at fellow artists’
shows: Dean Williams, Collis Duranty and John John.
She hit the stage as part of the cast of Raymond Choo Kong's
"Death at a Funeral‐Trini Style,” making a lengthy run at various venues
throughout the country.
2017 proved to be quite a success for the songstress as she
headlined a number of jam-packed houses, receiving raved reviews at venues such
as Kaiso Blues Café, Fiesta Plaza’s “Women in Jazz” series which was
broadcasted on CNMG Ctv, and The Little Carib Theatre. Grabbing the attention
of designers, media and fashion enthusiast, her visibility has grown with each
accomplishment.

Showing no signs of slowing down, Bri plans to keep the
momentum as she’ll appear in The Vagina Monologues at Big Black Box on the 17th & 18th
February, and will headline a jazz show at Kaiso Blues Café on the 29th
March.
