POWER PLAYERS : SEP - OCT
From L to R : Renaldo Frederick, Chanel Glasgow, Anderson Delysia, Shanice Vitalis & Lynda De La Mothe |
Written by Anastasia Tomkin
Power. Everyone craves it, but not many can claim it. Only a select few are bold enough to take it. To reach into the depths of their psyche and harness the discipline to turn water into wine. Power, like a serum coursing through their veins that steers them in the right direction, makes them immune to the haters, and attracts the attention of onlookers. The 48 laws of Power says that everyone admires the bold; no one honors the timid. And TVisuals’ five Power Players are anything but timid. They’re inspiring, ambitious, and all about the money moves. And they’re here to show us how to step our game up. Sounds cocky? You bet your ass it is, power isn’t for the fragile ego.
Just ask Renaldo Frederick, who we had to catch
days before he leaves to become the first Trini to pursue his Master’s at the
Royal Academy of the Dramatic Arts. Actors are known for being elusive,
amirite? The man behind the characters dishes on his budding career finessing
the road less traveled, and how he plans to evolve the local theatre and film
industry. Perched on his arm is the ultimate Drama Queen, Chanel Glasgow, who
is already leading the next generation of thespians like a shepherd with a staff.
From cheerleader to coach in a few short years, she’s one over - achiever
you’ll be dying to meet.

Rounding out our rising star actors are
fashion-forward entrepreneurs Anderson Delysia and Shanice Vitalis. Most people
may think Shan is just an IG model, from the cheeky photos and equally cheeky
captions. But this sultry swimsuit connoisseur is lowkey redefining the image
of a businesswoman. Andy, born at the intersection of altruism and high
fashion, is bringing sizzling Afrodisiac style to the Southlands. Find out how
this Point Fortin native is serving looks and spreading love. Last but not
least, there’s the petite powerhouse Lynda de la Mothe, the talent behind all
things Beauty at TVISUAL. She gives us the inside scoop on being TVISUAL's beauty director,
holding down a day job, and launching an exciting career in makeup artistry -
while being so damn fine.
Harness the power of the new wave of Caribbean
creatives, with individual features, coming soon, exclusively on TVisual ;)
Note: “When
I brought up discussion of our first September - October feature, my peers at
TVISUAL were very clear on doing something grand. Immediately a number of
individuals rang off in my head. Thinking about the massive talent and just all
around stars, past students and friends came to mind. It’s no secret that I
love working with my secondary school friends or people I’ve met during
that period, I’m quite the nostalgic obviously! These individuals are
definitely amongst some of the most incredibly talented human beings I’ve met. Fast forward to almost ten years later and
they’re still inspiring and dedicated to their crafts and grinds. This made our September – October feature
that much easier and special to create, a reunion! It’s a huge honor for me as
a visual artist to immortalize this chapter in their lives, pre-superstardom!
Haha!” - Terrance
