When it comes to cool, calm and collected, Omar Jarra is definitely the go-to. The Gambian native brings his quiet confidence and ready-to-work attitude to the Tvisual set. Giving us a peek inside of his ever-perpetuating work ethic, Omar manages to deliver, in what we suspect to be, his usual charming way. The nineteen-year-old passionate creative is no stranger to being centre stage as his drive and passion for the creative arts has led him to venture into many creative avenues. From acting topainting to dancing, Omar has definitely trail-blazed an incomparable path to being a triple threat.

One of his most memorable performances to date has been in the award-winning feature film “Green Days by the River’’ in which he was cast as a supporting actor. His professionalism and sturdy approach on set comes from his experience in working with big name industry personnel such as Raymond Choo Kong and theatre house like JCS Entertainment. Not going unnoticed, Jarra will lead in an upcoming TV series “The Fire Queen” in collaboration with Trinidadian and US based director Damian Marcano. Not stopping there, Jarra continues to venture into making his own path in the industry and further contributing to the greater whole of artists that will inspire the younger generation.

"I am not going to know where or how I'm going to start each painting, I should just trust myself and know that the painting is going to be good."

Refusing to be confined to one art form, Jarra has managed to curate his own art exhibition. Using vibrant colors to manifest evocative pieces, Jarra really does craft works that tell stories. Each piece brought to life with the inclination to transport the viewer to another place, yet still allowing room for interpretation and even misconception. The use of abstract brush strokes and placement both fascinates and puzzles the mind of onlookers. It’s no doubt that Omar is a complex mind and all around creative force.

Needless to say, we're excited to see what he does next. Be sure to follow him on social @omar_jarra_
